Welcome to our website. “Side Missions” is part of the “Charity Helpers Foundation” network. What we are attempting to do here is to create “Multi-Charity Taskforces” to handle tasks that grantors provide funds to complete. This could be collaborations involving multiple charities or just handfuls of individuals either “freelancing” or assigned to participate in completing these tasks.
We all have our “Passion Projects” and “Primary Missions”, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find the time to help with another project that we might have interest in. Especially if there is the possibility of some kind of compensation involved. That’s what this website is about. We go and locate grants, and then we try to do what we can to complete those grants. Often times this means that we need people with specific skills, background, or even location. This is the part where you come in.
If you want to participate in completing these “Funded Tasks” for compensation you will need to sign up to this website. Signing up is completely free. You will be asked a series of questions during signup, most of it we will keep to ourselves and our organizers. When we have an opportunity, will will either let you know (call, email, text, etc.) or we will post some basic details on this website (in one of the groups) and let you decide if you want to get involved.
Additionally we would be open to the idea of allowing others the chance to become organizers and to take some of these leads and to form taskforces to complete the tasks. Contact an Admin or Moderator here to get info on that.
You can also join us in the discord channel we created. It’s an option, not a requirement.
You probably want to know more about the compensation model, here is some info about that.
If a taskforce that we help create is accepted for a grant, our role generally switches to “secondary oversight” and “network facilitation”. The team doing the grant work has their own internal organizational structure to handle the requirements but we do stick around to make sure everything is alright and to help when required. Usually the funds from the grant have stipulations that need to be considered, but compensation, either towards a participating non-profits own mission or to individual is generally available. It is difficult to really define the parameters here on this webpage because the situation is based on the terms of the grant.
What I would suggest is to sign up. Also, tell everyone you know to sign up. You don’t have to accept any of the side missions that you don’t want to but you can still see what is going on.
For the “full effect” with the “most rewards” though, what I would suggest, is to sign up for everything that you might possibly be interested in. Then join us to create teams to get grants for.
